As the top says, we like to sail, travel and eat. Most of this blog is written with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek. Beware that I might get a bit salty with the language at times, but it's all in good fun.
And despite what you may read, we are a very happily married couple.because we can laugh at ourselves.
Laugh. Love. Eat. Sail. Enjoy.

The great California work, wine, wind, Independence day trip

Strap it on kiddies, I'll have a few posts here.

We just got back from a week long trip to California.  We started out in Sacramento where Tim has an on-site job, when not out roaming, I also worked from the hotel room.

The first night we took his co-workers out to a funky little marina area in Natomas (North of Downtown Sacramento) on the Sacramento river.  Great restaurant and nice views.  Not used to seeing a river be busy with recreational boat traffic, didn't realize they could run that deep.  Most of the rivers I'm around in Kansas I can walk across without it going over my knees.

Looking out over the marina to the river.
And yes, those white things are pilings.
And double yes, the river HAS gotten that high before.

The restaurant had it's own garden on the porch. Cool.

Sunset over the river.
